Ottawa Community Land Trust. – Affordable community housing.
My name / title is: Mike Bulthuis, Executive Director, Ottawa Community Land Trust. Some notes about me and the topic:
  • I've worked with the Ottawa Community Land Trust (OCLT) since 2023, guiding the organization’s initial housing acquisitions, capital growth, partnership development and community engagement.
  • Throughout the 20 years prior, I've worked in various policy, research and community development roles addressing homelessness, housing security, social finance, social innovation and infrastructure - in positions with the federal public service and several non-profit environments.
  • alongside the OCLT, I'm committed to the preservation and expansion of affordable housing, both within the Ottawa region and across Canada - and engaging community in co-developing new, community-led solutions.
