May 09, 2026 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. |
Hello Fellow Rotarians and Friends, We’re inviting you to join us for a hands-on morning of service!
We’ll be rolling up our sleeves to help with whatever is needed most that day: preparing garden beds for vegetable planting, clearing weeds and brush, and getting the space ready for a new accessible pathway that will allow individuals using wheelchairs to pick their own produce from the garden. This is a meaningful opportunity to support a local organization doing incredible work. OCAPDD runs a social enterprise garden that produces fresh food, supports programming, and donates excess produce to the local food bank. It’s a powerful example of community, inclusion, and sustainability in action. Friends and family are absolutely welcome. I’ll be bringing my kids - and the TimBits! Sign up here: Gardening and Lunch RSVP If there’s enough interest, we can head out for lunch together afterwards as well. A few quick notes:
We’d love to see a great group out for this. It’s a simple way to make a real impact together. For additional information, please feel free to contact us via our Facebook |

Jun. 13, 2026 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. |
1705 Robertson Road |
A few quick notes:
We’d love to see a great group out for this. It’s a simple way to make a real impact together. For additional information, please feel free to contact us via our Facebook |

Hi everyone,
Rotary will be marching in the Ottawa Pride Parade this Sunday, August 30, and there’s still time to join in! District 7040 would love to have more Rotarians, family members, and friends walking together. Please note that the parade route and staging location have changed this year. Pride Parade Details • Sunday, August 30 • Arrival: 12:45–1:15 PM • Parade begins: 1:00 PM • Rotary staging area: B171 • Colour zone: RED • Route: Wellington & Booth to Bank & Albert • Distance: Approximately 1.5 km / 45 minutes There’s no check-in: simply head directly to Rotary’s designated staging area. You can enter from either Vimy Place and Wellington or Booth and Wellington. Getting there: Parking is very limited, and there is no parking at the Canadian War Museum. Public transit is strongly recommended. Pimisi and Bayview are the closest O-Train stations. What to bring: A water bottle, hat, sunscreen, and your energy! Extra water will be available for refills. What to wear: Rotary swag and Pride colours! You can register in advance through the District 7040 event page: https://rotary7040.com/event/2026-ottawa-pride-parade/ Or simply show up on Sunday afternoon and join the Rotary contingent. The forecast may be a little wet, so come prepared for the weather. Rain or shine, it should be a fun afternoon and a great opportunity to show that Rotary welcomes and supports everyone. Hope to see some RCWO faces there! |
