How To Join Rotary

1) Attend a meeting
Be our guest at a weekly luncheon. We meet every Tuesday at noon, both in person and online. Say hello at check-in and we’ll welcome you and make sure you feel at home.  Meeting location and info are posted on our club home page, but it's helpful to contact our Membership Chair (Hugh Williams) if you're interested in attending.

At the meeting, chat with members, hear the speaker, and learn how we serve—locally and globally.  For more information about Rotary in general, there are some great resources at Rotary.org - see the “Rotary Links” section on this page.

2) Try a project (optional but encouraged!)
Some of our hands-on activities and projects welcome non-Rotarian volunteers. Jump into an activity or committee to get a feel for our culture and impact. Experience Rotary in action.
3) Apply for membership
Complete our club's membership application. We’ll follow up quickly. Tell us what you care about, and chances are there's a project that fits your skills and interests - or we may want to start one!
4) Welcome conversation
A past president will arrange a chat to answer questions, outline member commitments, and help you get connected.
5) Approval
Your application is reviewed and approved by our Membership Committee and Board. After approval, you’ll be notified and, when convenient, inducted at a meeting at which the members can “officially” welcome you to Rotary and the Rotary Club of West Ottawa!

Dues & details

Annual dues are currently $290. When you join, the fee is pro-rated based on the Rotary year (July 1 to June 30). Dues support our ClubRotary District 7040, and Rotary International. Guests are welcome to attend meetings and participate in projects during the review process.
