Title:  Humanitarian Representative to Canada, Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) 

Michael will be speaking from his perspective as a representative of MSF to describe his organization's work as a provider of emergency medical humanitarian care to people affected by conflict and crisis in more than 70 countries around the world, and will highlight the specific challenges facing humanitarian responders in 2026: increased global humanitarian needs; decreased global humanitarian funding; and the erosion of global norms and respect for international laws that protect civilians and aid workers in conflict zones.
